Is my Arcobaleno pass valid outside Ticino and Moesano?

No, your pass is only valid in Ticino and the district of Moesano.

Are “Junior-travelcard” , “Grandchild-travelcard” and "Children's Co-travelcard" recognised by the Arcobaleno passes?

Yes, these can be combined with the weekly, monthly and annual passes.

VI would like to purchase an (annual or monthly) Arcobaleno pass. Does the pass have to start from the first day of the month?

The customer can choose the desired starting date (e.g. 11 November 2012). The passes can be bought at the following sales points. r via credit card, by calling the SBB Rail Service sales and advice for passengers on 0900 300 300 from Switzerland (CHF 1.19/min from a Swiss landline) or 0041 900 300 300 from abroad. Delivery costs may be charged.

I already have a monthly Arcobaleno pass. To renew it do I have to go to the ticket counter?

No. The monthly pass can be renewed at the ticket machines and, usually, through the regional bus drivers, as well as at the ticket counters. It is advisable to renew the pass through the issuing transport company.

I lost my monthly pass / my monthly pass was stolen. What should I do?

In principle the monthly pass cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

My monthly pass is damaged. What should I do?

The pass can be replaced for CHF 30.- if damaged. To replace your pass you need to go to the ticket counter where the pass was bought.

I lost my annual pass / my annual pass was stolen. What should I do?

First of all you must report the theft of your pass to the municipal or cantonal police. Then you need to go the ticket counter where you bought your pass together with the proof of purchase of the pass and valid ID.

A new pass will be sent to your home address within 10 days upon payment of a fee of CHF 30.-. A “temporary pass” will be issued in the meantime.

PLEASE NOTE: an annual pass can be replaced a maximum of twice if lost or stolen.

My annual travel pass is damaged. What should I do?

You have to go to the ticket counter where you bought your pass together with the damaged pass and valid ID.
A new pass will be sent to your home address within 14 days, upon payment of a fee of CHF 30.-. A “temporary pass” will be issued in the meantime. The pass can be replaced as many times as necessary.

What is the minimum number of zones I can buy?

You must by a minimum of two adjoining zones. Only zones 10, 20 or 30 can be bought individually.

Can I add one or more zones to my annual pass?

New zones can be added, but to do so a new annual pass has to be issued.

Can I deposit the annual Arcobaleno pass (i.e. if I do not need it for a specific period of time)?

No, it is not possible to deposit your pass.

Can I pay for CTA tickets and passes using REKA money?

In principal this is possible. However, it is advisable that you enquire at the issuing transport company beforehand.

Can a “half-fare” travelcard be used to purchase an Arcobaleno pass?

No. It can be used to buy Arcobaleno tickets and other tickets, but not for the purchase of an Arcobaleno pass, which is already sold at an advantageous price.
